Sneak Peek of the Multimillion-Dollar Room Renovations at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa Starting Fall 2019

The Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa is currently undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation to its guestrooms inspired by the rich heritage and authentic spirit of Kaanapali Beach.

I am big fan of the Hyatt Regency Maui and have stayed here on numerous occasions and love everything about the hotel, location and amenities!  The room renovation will help elevate the Hyatt Regency Maui even further as one of the best resorts in Hawaii.

Situated on 40 spectacular oceanfront acres on Ka'anapali Beach, this resort offers elegant guestrooms with private lanais and panoramic views, oceanfront spa, half-acre pool, award-winning restaurants, brand new Regency Club, and Hawaiian cultural activities.

Ka'anapali beach is rated one of the best beaches and vacation spots in the United States with unlimited activities and amenities   The resort offers spectacular ocean views, as well as views of Lanai and Molokai.

Room Renovation
The guestrooms renovations will start in Fall 2019 and are expected to be completed by the end of 2020.  I got a sneak-peek of the room renovations last month during my trip to Maui and loved the new fresh and modern colors and decor.  The revamped guestrooms feature authentic Hawaiian touches with a modern twist that will help guests connect with Maui’s vibrant culture.

Note that the following pictures of the room renovations may not be final, meaning small tweaks and changes may still occur during the renovations, but the main color scheme and decor is pretty accurate.  The Hyatt Maui website has pictures up of the renovations currently underway in the Lahaina Tower.

The renovation, led by Wimberly Interiors, incorporates elegant, casual textiles and contemporary lines that come together for a sleek look.  Drawing inspiration from the resort’s picturesque location, the rooms will feature various elements such as open closets to make the room feel more spacious, glass lanai balconies that will help bring the outside in and make the space brighter, and elevated furnishings.

The Hyatt Regency Maui will also implement a variety of energy saving aspects in order to continue to increase its sustainability practices including retrofitting of its air conditioning systems. Additionally, the property will add four new guestrooms, bringing the total number of rooms from 806 to 810.

During the renovation period, Hyatt Regency Maui will also upgrade its technology by implementing a new system allowing guests to receive their room keys on their mobile devices. This will create a process that is easy and sustainable.

NOTE: The renovations will start with the rooms in the Lahaina Tower and will isolate work to this tower only.  After completion of the Lahaina Tower, the two other towers will undergo a similar room refresh until completion by the end of 2020.
