Five Reasons why you should stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel for your next trip

Staying at one of the the three Disneyland Resort Hotels can enhance your Disneyland family vacation in many ways.  With only three options to choose from, it is a lot easier to pick one, when compared to Disney World, which features over 20 Disney operated hotels.

There are many hotels near Disneyland ranging from budget to luxury that are perfect for families, but the three Disneyland Resort Hotels, in my opinion, offer the best options due to their convenient access to the theme parks, disney themes and special perks available for guests.

My top five reasons for why you should stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel for your next trip include:

  • Disneyland Resort Hotels offer convenient access to the parks.

    • The resort hotels are located within walking distance of the Disneyland and Disney California Adventure park main gates, making it easy to access the parks and avoid traffic and parking hassles.
    • You also get private access into California Adventure if staying at the Grand Californian and Paradise Pier Hotel.

  • Disneyland Resort Hotels offer a range of accommodation options.

    • Whether you're looking for luxury, affordability, or something in between, the resort hotels have something to suit every budget and preference, with just the right amount of Disney magic at each hotel.

  • Disneyland Resort Hotels offer special perks and benefits for guests.

    • Staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels means you can take advantage of admission to Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park 30 minutes early to enjoy select attractions, dining and shopping locations.

  • Disneyland Resort Hotels offer a range of dining options.

    • From quick and convenient meals to fine dining experiences, the resort hotels have something to suit every taste and budget, not to mention character dining to celebrate that special occasion.

  • Disneyland Resort Hotels offer a complete Disneyland experience.

    • From the Disney-themed decor and atmosphere to the magical touches and surprises throughout the hotels, staying at a resort hotel can make your Disneyland vacation even more special and memorable.

Staying at the one of the three Disneyland Resorts hotels isn't always cheap (when compared to other hotels in the immediate area), but you can get a great value for the price given all of the great Disney perks you'll receive.  This Disney experience offers convenience, early entry, easier park access, resort amenities, and much more.

And if you're not familiar with Disneyland Resort Hotels, the three hotels include:

  • Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa

    • Disneyland Resort's flagship and most luxurious hotel that is themed after National Park lodges, with private entry into California Adventure Park.

  • The Disneyland Hotel

    • Disneyland Resort's oldest hotel that features nostalgic themes of the original Disneyland Park with a sprinkling of pixie dust throughout the hotel with magical headboards that light-up in each room

  • Disney's Paradise Pier hotel (soon to be Pixar Pier Hotel, after an in progress remodel is completed)

    • The current them is beachside boardwalk of the 1920's, but the hotel is being actively remodeled to a Pixar Pier Hotel.  This hotel is the furthest away from the Disneyland main gate and is considered to be the value hotel of the three Disney hotels onsite, with room rates typically the cheapest here throughout the year.  This hotel just recently added a private entrance for hotel guests into California Adventure Park as well, but it's not as convenient as the Grand Californian Hotel.
